Tips to hit your daily step goal

Movement is SO important for our overall well-being, both mentally and physically.

While a good portion of people have smartwatches that prompt them to walk/ move more a alot of people still don't come close to the recommended minimum step goal for their age.

If you need ways to get more steps into your day follow these easy tips! πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

1) Go for a walk right in the morning.β˜€οΈ A brisk 15-minute walk can get you around 1200-2500 steps. If your goal is 10000 steps a day that's already around 25% of your daily amount done! Not to mention it helps wake up your body for the day.

2) When on the phone, walk around. There are so many times I've been on the phone and my watch has auto-started a walk since I just do laps around my house to get extra movement in where I can. πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ

3) Record your steps while grocery shopping! πŸ›’
How many times do you forget something on the other side of the store and have to double back? Plus you are either pushing a cart or carrying a basket, which levels up your activity resistance!

4) Call up a friend.
Do you know how you can get lost in conversation with a friend on the couch for hours? Well, next time try that while walking! You get the same serotonin boost plus the physical benefits as well. πŸ‘―πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

5) Do some yard work. πŸ‚
It's fall and that means time to rake leaves. You'd be surprised how many steps you can get in when you are just walking around in your yard cleaning up leaves and plants.
